To secure your place at the Land Seminar in Bridport, send your full name, address, mobile number and how many spaces you’d like to reserve here.

On Friday, 24th March 2023, DOMVS estate agents will host an informative seminar, open to the public, with a panel of six expert speakers. The seminar will provide invaluable information to landowners looking to maximise development opportunities on their land.

  • Chris Loder, Conservative MP for West Dorset to speak at local Land Seminar
  • Planning, legal and development experts come together to share insights for what can be a difficult process

The event, which will be held at The Bull Hotel, in Bridport, starts at 9.30am and will finish at 11am. Polly Greenway, CEO of DOMVS will be joined by Chris Loder, Conservative MP for West Dorset, Emma Stainwright from Steele Raymond Solicitors, Pete Cattermole from CB Reid Accountants, Steven Bainbridge from Chapman Lily Planning, Matthew Witt from Western Design Architects and Neil Greenway, who is the DOMVS land specialist. DOMVS has been hosting an annual seminar with a similar agenda in nearby Dorchester, for a number of years, which was last attended by over 100 local residents; however, this is the first time they will be holding the event in Bridport.

Neil Greenway, Land Specialist at DOMVS says: “Much has changed in the last few years. With the introduction of new Building Control standards and ever-changing planning requirements, we’ve gathered together some of Dorset’s most knowledgeable industry experts to help demystify the process. With land-savvy lawyers, architect expertise and insider-planning knowledge, attendees can expect to leave better informed about their land assets and their anticipated returns”.

Emma Stainwright from Steele Raymond Solicitors says: “Landowners have a myriad of complexities to consider when looking to sell their land for possible future development. As a landowner, building the right professional team around you is crucial. These seminars will provide access to some of the region’s most experienced professionals in navigating the development complexities, providing unique insights and, more importantly, clarity.”.

Steven Bainbridge from Chapman Lily Planning says: “We’re delighted to join the coveted DOMVS Land Seminar once again as it’s a great opportunity to meet our local community and share insights around the planning minefield. Whether Bridport residents are looking to take advantage of relaxed planning for barn conversions, for example, or perhaps more context on the tightening up of ‘garden grabbing’, we’ll be on hand to offer clear guidance and support.”

With Dorset planning applications taking over a year in many cases, which far exceeds the Government’s regulatory eight weeks, the DOMVS Land Seminar will provide valuable information and considerations for what is traditionally known as a difficult process.
