Industry Bodies
Working with a reputable, professionally governed estate agent is imperative. DOMVS estate agents in Dorset is a member of both ARLA Propertymark, the leading membership body for estate and letting agents, which ensures we have the most up-to-date legislative knowledge and practical experience, and The Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPOS), a free, impartial and independent body that resolves disputes between consumers and estate & letting agents. Both bodies have a strict code of conduct, for which the DOMVS team must comply as part of its membership.
For lettings, we are registered with The DPS, meaning all rental deposits are held externally, and any disputes will be arbitrated fairly using. DOMVS is also a member of ARLA Propertymark’s Client Money Protection Scheme to provide further reassurance for our clients and a copy of our CMP certificate can be found here. As a professional service, we will always follow strict AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. Our entire team are qualified on such matters and we have an internal AML Officer to ensure the business is kept abreast of any regulatory changes. Each member of our team is regularly trained on Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, otherwise known as CPRs, which replaced the previous Property Misdescriptions Act & Consumer Protection Regulations (CPRS).

We work with some of the best in the business, including FSA-approved financial planners who take a holistic approach and advise on all aspects from mortgages to pensions to investments.
