What is Story House?
Story House: The DOMVS Children’s Writing Competition is an annual creative writing competition aimed to inspire creativity, imagination and passion of school children in Dorset.
DOMVS, alongside Lord Julian Fellowes, hold an annual competition, now in its fifth year, for schools all over the county. Those participating are invited to submit a short story, with a prompt given by Academy and Emmy Award winner Lord Fellows. Those shortlisted are invited to attend an awards ceremony, where the winners of each category receive a certificate and prize.
How to get involved
The Story House competition is open to schools across Dorset for pupils aged 5-12 and this year’s competition is now open for entry. Your school’s Headteacher will let you know if your school is participating, but if you haven’t heard, then please let us know and we’ll happily contact them.
