Standing in solidarity with Ukraine, we could not just sit by and watch as this terrible war unfold without doing our part in helping the innocent lives that have been thrown into this traumatic event. This is why we have created a JustGiving page to help raise money for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
On setting up the JustGiving page, DOMVS donated £1000 to kick-off this appeal to help the people of Ukraine during this unbearably sad time. On top of this, DOMVS have pledged to double every pound donated up to another £1000, bringing our total contribution to £2000.
According to the DEC:
- £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for a month
- £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm
- £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month
- Every pound donated by the UK public will be matched by the UK Government up to £20 million
